🆕 First-Mover Edge

Digital Product Passport (DPP) Readiness

EU Battery Regulation DPP is live from 2026 — textiles, electronics and construction cascade through 2030. Almost no consultants combine supply-chain depth with DPP data architecture. We map your data fields, supplier integrations, and IT roadmap to be DPP-ready ahead of mandate — and deliver a pilot SKU passport ready to publish.

✅ Battery · Textile · Electronics · Construction ✅ GS1 Digital Link · Catena-X compatible ✅ Pilot SKU passport included ✅ €2.3M PI insured

What's included

Fixed-scope, fixed-price. €7,500 — final quote confirmed after a free scoping call.

🗂️

DPP Data Model per Product Category

A complete data schema for your product category — defining every mandatory and optional data attribute, data types, units, and the regulatory source (ESPR delegated act, Battery Regulation Annex VI, etc.) that requires it.

🔗

Supply-Chain Data Collection Blueprint

A structured data-collection plan mapping which data attributes come from which tier of your supply chain — from tier-1 direct supplier back to raw material — with templates, formats and collection timelines.

💻

IT Integration & GS1 / Catena-X Compatibility Map

An assessment of your ERP, PLM and PIM systems against DPP data-hosting requirements, with a GS1 Digital Link identifier strategy and Catena-X compatibility roadmap for automotive-sector suppliers.

♻️

Recycled-Content & Repairability Scoring

A scoring framework for the two highest-scrutiny DPP attributes — recycled-content percentage per material fraction and repairability/disassembly index — built on the emerging EU methodology from the Ecodesign delegated acts.

🪪

Pilot SKU Passport (1 Product)

One complete, publication-ready DPP for a single SKU — data populated, QR code generated, GS1 Digital Link formatted — so you have a working proof of concept before scaling to the rest of your product range.

Companies that start DPP data collection now build a 2–3 year data trail that regulators and buyers cannot demand retroactively. Early movers also avoid the scramble when delegated acts are finalised — the supply-chain data architecture is consistent across categories.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Digital Product Passport (DPP)?

A Digital Product Passport is a machine-readable data record — accessed via QR code, RFID or data matrix — containing a product's sustainability attributes, material composition, repairability information, carbon footprint, recycled content and supply-chain provenance. The EU's ESPR mandates DPPs across battery, textile, electronics, construction and other categories between 2026 and 2030.

Which sectors need a DPP and when?

EU Battery Regulation DPP is live from 2026 (industrial and EV batteries first). Textile and apparel DPPs are mandated from 2030 under ESPR. Electronics DPPs follow from 2030. Construction products also fall under ESPR with specific timelines being finalised. Our engagement covers all four categories.

What is Catena-X and why does it matter for DPP?

Catena-X is the automotive industry's interoperable data ecosystem — widely adopted for battery passport data exchange. GS1 provides global product identification standards. For manufacturers supplying automotive or retail sectors in Europe, compatibility with Catena-X and GS1 Digital Link is effectively a buyer requirement. Our DPP readiness engagement maps your IT systems against both.

What data does a textile DPP require?

A textile DPP under ESPR must include: fibre composition and material sources, country of origin for fabric and garment manufacturing, recycled content percentage, repairability and recyclability information, care instructions, chemical compliance data, and carbon footprint. The exact technical specification is still being finalised, but the supply-chain data collection needed is already clear.

How much does DPP readiness cost?

Our Digital Product Passport Readiness engagement starts at €7,500, covering a DPP data model, supply-chain data collection blueprint, IT/GS1/Catena-X compatibility map, recycled-content and repairability scoring framework, and one pilot SKU passport ready to publish. Typical delivery is 8–12 weeks.
